Nach der Bitumen mußten wir ungefähr 500m in einer nicht bitumierte Straße. Leider sind nicht alle Straßen in Yaoundé mit Bitumen

"What a great surprise this find is, staying with a local community and eating the traditional food ,only 25mins walk to a private beach and 10min walk to the ash fields . Here the rumble of the mountain like its a distant thunder storm. The kids will show you around with great enthusiasm. And all being close to the volcano and hot springs and the hosts will arrange any other activities and transports needed , This is the real deal don't miss out . "Perfect location for visiting petra, the host is a very nice gentleman, he gave us a good tour through the apartment and explained everything necessary. It can be a bit cold in the winter but the portable heaters will make up for that. Its a large place."

"Location near the sea and grocery store. Found also a home bakery nearby. Beautiful, a bit rustic town under pine trees. Sandy beach and lot of quiet streets to discover. Appartment was warm, nice, and had all the basic things. Lovely yard."

There was no bed sheet for the second bed (sofa), and when we opened the sofa, there was sand from the previous visitors. The hosts reacted to our request and it was cleaned. Some other tiny issues - only 2 mugs in the cupboard (4 glasses), and the 3rd cup was found on the floor of shower room. We missed washing up liquid and kitchen towels too.

"Facility was extremely nice, high ceilings with crown molding made it feel bigger than it actually was. Decor was very nice, and there were amenities aplenty. Huge balcony facing the Gulf. It felt like we were staying in our own ready-made home, complete with old Bible with plenty of notes :-)"

Refrigerator was very nice and modern, but the ice machine put out ice with mold on it. We checked the ice tray itself, and the ice was fine, so guessing the dispenser was to blame. The jacuzzi jets, as well, blew out particles of mold, some significant, when engaged. We did not see this in the tub until after the water had been drained. We did not let these factors detract from the overall experience, but, but mold is a pretty major thing that we'd suggest checking more often. Be aware that the check-in instructions you get from your booking agency may not reflect actual conditions/requirements, but this is not a problem with the host.

Het regende bij aankomst waardoor helaas onze 18 holes pitch and putt wedstrijd hier op het terrein niet door kon gaan.

"Zeer lieve mensen. De gastheer spreekt Engels. Het ontbijt was zeer uitgebreid. We kregen nog een muzikaal afscheid door de zoon (op komuz). Het guesthouse ligt een beetje afgelegen maar is desalniettemin op een boogscheut van het nationale park Ala Archa."

"De locatie is super. Het appartement is heel schoon. Daarnaast was de host zeer gastvrij en aardig. Hij geeft je tips en beantwoordt je vragen erg snel. Hij helpt je ontzettend goed en je ziet waarlijk dat hij het met alle liefde en plezier doet. Een dikke 10!"

Seul petit bémol, pas du tout de commerce à proximité. Et si en plus vous n'êtes pas véhiculé sachez qu'il n'y a pas de bus en bas de la résidence où même quelques pas plus loin. Pour le premier jour, le papa du propriétaire qui était véhiculé nous a emmener jusqu'à une supérette. Un grand merci pour ce Monsieur. Qu'Allah le récompense pour son aide si précieuse. Le deuxième jour, pour le pain et viennoiseries, j'ai pris mon courage à deux mains. Heureusement, je suis une bonne randonneuse ce qui.n'est pas le cas de ma fille qui est restée bien tranquillement à m'attendre. La veinarde !! Malgré ce petit inconvénient, j'ai passé un excellent séjour dans cet appartement que je RECOMMANDE VIVEMENT pour les marcheurs.

"My sister & I stayed 4 nights here! 😍 We loved that… it was great value for money,… there’s a shop downstairs that opened 7 days till late… The location was awesome, right next to DMC, Vailoa, (the best fried chicken franchise on the island 😋)… the twin room was clean, and spacious with 2 x twin beds, sofa lounge, a balcony with clothes airer, a wardrobe, massive shower with hot water, toiletries & towels, kitchen sink with utilities, Tea/Coffee facilities, Aircon & free WiFi…and… The host, (Teresa), was very friendly & welcoming, always willing & present to help out when needed. 😃"

The only issue, was the accommodation is upstairs and carrying heavy luggage upstairs was a little challenging, otherwise, it was excellent value for money. 👍

"Lovely area, close to a river walk and around 10 minutes walk to the centre of Buncrana. Lidl and Aldi are a 2-minute drive away. The apartment had everything we needed. Very cosy and clean. The host had kindly left us wheaten bread and some milk. A lovely lady ❤️"

"On arrival 'Grandad' greeted us with a smile and a cup of 'ginger tea' 😊 The location is peaceful and on the edge of the forest. Only 15mins walking to seven eleven, shops, etc. The room was comfy and clean. Good value too. Bed was super comfy soft to firm! Easy to safely store our bicycles 🚴🚴 A great place to visit and Grandad may also show you around his collection of antiques. HIGHLY recommended 👌"

"The two hosts of the Appartement Hotel are very accommodating and helpful! The location is great, the roof terrace wonderful. We didn't get the apartment which first booked, but two at no extra charge. At first I was skeptical about the change, but the two hosts communicated this honestly and transparently."

We had two apartments, one was quiet, the other had the windows on the side with various bars, this was a bit noisy. It should be noted that this is a busy old and nice town area.
