The Tops ligt op een heuvel, op 5 minuten lopen van het strand, en biedt een panoramisch blik over Wildernis en de Indische Oceaan. Het beschikt over een weelderige tuin en barbecuefaciliteiten. De lichte logeerruimtes zijn voorzien van grote ramen, een ventilator, elektrische dekens en koffie- en theefaciliteiten. Handdoeken en linnengoed zijn aanwezig en elke kamer heeft een eigen badkamer. Ontbijtformule wordt bij The Tops op aanvraag geserveerd in de privacy van uw kamer. Op minder dan 2 km afstand is een aantal restaurants met een verscheidenheid aan gerechten te vinden. Het gebied van Wildernis en Garden Route biedt een scala aan activiteiten, variërend van kanoën en wandelen tot paragliding. Golfen kunt u op minder dan 30 minuten rijden bij de golfbaan van het Fancourt Verblijfplaats en de golfbaan Dolphin Creek. De luchthaven van George bevindt zich op 24 km afstand.

"Room at the top that I stayed in was clean and functional and has the best views I've had in a room anywhere on garden route so you tend to overlook the problems. Toilet makes horrendous sound when flushing and it's very tired and in need of a mini makeover. But I would stay in it again as is anytime but due for some TLC"

"I stayed at AppleBee in November 2025. The communication beforehand was very smooth and Jeannine was always quick to reply and help out with any questions. All the staff was very kind and Tony makes sure your on site stay runs smoothly. The accommodation was equipped with everything we needed, which made the stay very comfortable and pleasant. Since it was a longer stay it was nice that we were able to cook in the cottage as well. The pool was also a very nice extra. The breakfast was very tasty, if you're not yet sure to book it I would definitely recommend it. If I'm returning to Makhanda I will definitely come back here."
