SULTAN PALACE

"Sultan Palace is een prachtig hotel op een geweldige locatie. De tuin is ontzettend mooi en wordt goed onderhouden. Ze hebben prachtige, schone suites. Elke dag wordt het bed strak opgemaakt en in de avond wordt er nog even onder de klamboe tegen de muggen gesprayd. Ook worden de handdoeken elke dag verschoond (ook al hoeft dat niet). Het strand is een sprookje en heel erg prive. De staf is uiterst vriendelijk en doet er alles aan om het je naar je zin te maken. Juma is een geweldig en regelt het voor je (o.a. taxi, excursies etc.). Elke dag staan er nieuwe flesjes water op de kamer en ook in het restaurant zijn deze gratis verkrijgbaar. De manager komt regelmatig langs om te vragen of het naar wens is."

"De kwaliteit van het eten is goed maar de keuze is beperkt. Ook jammer dat je voor een kop echte koffie moet bijbetalen. Tip: leg een kleine brochure met de excursies op elke kamer."

"Alles, het hotel is prachtig, het hoofdgebouw vooral maar ook de tuin en het prive strand. De kleine villa is fijn om te verblijven. De service is meer dan perfect, iedereen is zo zorgzaam De aapjes in de tuin en de vele gekleurde vogels zijn bijzonder Dan het ontbijt dat was het beste in Zanzibar ( wij verbleven in in totaal 5 hotels tijdens onze rondtocht), Mozes is een geweldige kok. Bij ons vetrek kregen we nog heerlijke hapjes mee. De wifi was overal erg goed. We hebben gegeten bij restaurant The Rock, ik dacht vast veel te toeristisch maar het werd een onvergetelijke ( maar wel dure) ervaring. Leuk om dit te combineren"

"Maar 1 ding en dat waren de kosten voor transport. Dat zouden ze beter moeten regelen voor gasten. Het is erg duur. Voor een ritje van 10 minuten heen en terug 25 euro"

"The hotel has a beautiful wide garden filled with fire tress , magnolias and other trees with bright flowers. I saw several colorful birds including parrots and small monkeys. You can walk though the garden to the sandy beach, ideal for jogging and walking in both high and low tide, as it is quite spacious and long. Swimming was nice at high tide. What made it even more special was nice breeze from the sea. You could read and relax in shade even with high temperature."

"There were no freshly brewed coffee , nor espresso machine, just instant powered coffee. It was a little bit disappointing. The Indian food we tried was excellent, but the past we had was not so great."

"The staff are so welcoming and friendly. Nothing is too much hassle. They can arrange half day trips and full day trips to the main attractions on the island. The resort is small but compact and offers everything you need, from a private beach area, 2 restaurants (including a beach bar) and a pool with fantastic views! The beach area is stunning and quiet, not far from the Blue Lagoon area which offers excellent snorkeling."

"We just spent 8 days in Zanzibar. After our initial 2 days at the North of the island, we moved to Sultan Palace for 6 days. We must admit WOW factors from beginning. The reception staff, all the restaurant staff, the housekeeping and Gardners, the beach staff and last but not least Hotel manager Mr Pradeep Kumar and his wife all deserved to be praised. The location of the hotel is excellent- so tranquil, peaceful and natural. We used to see friendly monkeys everyday. Although the accommodation was advertised as deluxe suite, it was actually villas. We loved it so much that we were comparing these villas in private islands in Maldives we previously stayed. On our last night, the staff celebrated my birthday with local song. We just can't praise the staff enough for the hard work they are doing to have a wonderful peaceful holiday for the guests. Well done to the management for the hard work. Best wishes"

"WIFI in general is a problem in Zanzibar. Hotel can't be blamed for it. We also preferred ordering fresh from the menu rather than having buffet food."

"The staff at the Hotel are very friendly the hotel itself is very beautiful the beach and the nature is amazing, unfortunately no clients were during the period of my journey, you feel you are in an isolated area."

"It is a wonderful place at the side of the Indian Ocean. The room with a beautiful terrace is well equipped, the view over the sea is grandiose. The restaurant is attractive and provides wonderful meals. The personnel are very friendly and very helpful in all matters. A perfect way to relax for a few days."
