Phangan Akuna

"Ik heb hier anderhalve week een huisje gehuurd. Wat een fijne, schone en luxe omgeving. Het heeft een heel fijn zwembad met uitzicht op de natuur. Het personeel is super vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Je kan er tevens een scooter huren. Zen beach is 5 min rijden met de scooter. Nee, er is geen restaurant maar alles is 5 min met de scooter van Akuna."

"Fabulous place. My room was large and comfy, and I loved having a little kitchen area where I could prepare food or refrigerate things. It rained a lot when I was there, so it was nice to have a great room when I didn't want to go out. The swimming pool was terrific and much bigger than I expected. The staff were all lovely, and the girl on reception was helpful, efficient and friendly. I'd happily stay here again."

"The only thing I didn't like was the amount of plastic bottles they use. I stayed in four other places on the island before coming here, and they all provided a massive bottle of water on the balcony so that you could fill your own bottle daily. In Akuna, they provide 2x600ml plastic bottles of water a day. I stayed 8 days, which meant 16 small bottles awaited me. I then bought about 10x1.5ltr bottles to use the rest of the time as I couldn't carry larger bottles back to the accommodation with me. It's a shame that anywhere still uses so much plastic nowadays."

"Great location, just out of the main town, less than a 10 minute walk. Staff were awesome, very happy, and always ready to help out. The Scooter hire was 150 p/d if you booked it for the whole stay, which was great, or 200 p/d for just the odd day. Rooms were clean and comfy. Nice place, and quiet - which was great! Would stay again."

"Room was spacious, private, quiet, Comfortable and cosy. The salt water pool is large, clean, bright with lots of loungers and refreshing but not too cold. Staff were super accommodating and I love that they WhatsApp updates regularly. The whole place felt like a gated community. Close to awesome restaurants and anything else you need. Wonderful value in KP!"

"Typical Thai shower with no door or curtain means the bathroom floor is always wet. I hate that. Would have appreciated a little more gardening on the steps to our bungalow as well as the walkway to the pool. It was overgrown with vines."

"The room was big and clean. The location is just perfect! The staff is super nice and if you want to rent a motorbike, you should rent from them because they are very cheap if you take it for a month or more. The police are very nice"
