CocoVivo is een magische eco-retraite op het zuidelijke puntje van Isla Cristobal. Zes privé glamping hutten zitten boven het water, op slechts enkele meters van een levendig koraalrif voor gemakkelijk snorkelen, kajakken, standup paddle boarding, en het verkennen van onze privé schipbreuk. Wanneer de nacht valt, sprankelend bioluminescent water laat het voelen alsof je in een sprookje. Twintig jaar geleden startte CocoVivo als herbebossingsproject, en nu zijn er op ons terrein van 25 hectare verschillende troepen apen en tientallen luiaards die gemakkelijk te spotten zijn tijdens het wandelen. Een dertig minuten durende speedboottocht van de stad Bocas op Isla Colon, CocoVivo is afgelegen en rustiek, maar laat je niet misleiden: je zult hier goed eten. Onze getalenteerde privékoks bereiden driegangendiners met verse, lokaal geproduceerde ingrediënten die concurreren met de beste restaurants in de stad.

"De gastvrouw is top, heel sympathiek. Het eten is superlekker en de omgeving is prachtig! Tijdens het eten zwommen er zomaar even twee dolfijnen voorbij. In de verte kan je de brulapen horen bij zonsopgang en -ondergang."

"We absolutely loved the stay at Cocovivo. We stayed in the Treehouse which was just incredible. The lights coming throug the mosquito nets in the morning and the sound of the sourrounding jungle made the sunrises truly special. Also the nature around is just beautiful. We saw plenty of sloths, monkeys and a wide variety of maritime wildlife within the beautiful reef. The staff is also inredibly friendly and makes you feel welcome and integrated without putting any pressure on you that you should book any tours through them. Special thanks to Nikita and Mercedes. The food by Andrea was amazing. If we would visit Panama again we will come back to Cocovivo for sure."

"The staff are so kind and considerate. Although the place is rustic, everything is well-planned and clean. The reef is amazing with huge fishes and a tiny wreck. Lastly, the food was outstanding."

"The location was amazing with lots of sloths, kinkajous, dolphins and howler monkeys. The food was amazing and delicious and the staff Melissa, Luciano and Leo were lovely and went out of their way to make us feel at home and to have the best holiday. The reef was pretty and there was lots of opportunity to swim, kayak and visit local attractions and Capitán and Mazoo the dogs were lovely too. We were able to mix with another family that were there and so it was really sociable. We will definitely be returning."

"La isla es preciosa y la comida (incluida en el precio) riquísima. Tienes que saber a dónde vas, no hay grandes comodidades, no hay electricidad durante todo el día y la comida varía poco entre pescado y pollo, aún así duermes en el paraíso, la cama es cómoda y todo está limpio. Puedes contratar con ellos el transfer desde Ciudad de Panamá. El precio incluye desayuno, comida y cena y una excursión por las islas de al rededor durante un día. Tienes opción de pagar un poco más y tener cabaña con suelo de madera y baño privado."
"Ongelofelijke setting waar je terechtkomt. Het eiland heeft iets magisch en brengt je volledig tot rust. Als je weg wilt van alle stress en drukte is dit paradijs het antwoord. Heel gezellig, vriendelijk personeel en prachtige stranden."
"Es sind nur 2 Häuser auf der Insel und die meisten Tages Touristen sind auf der Rückseite in einem „eigenen“ Bereich, daher ist es wundervoll entspannend. Die Einheimischen hier sind sehr zuvorkommend und das Essen ist sehr lecker und ausreichend- vor allem das Frühstück! Auf anderen Inseln ist es oft eher Massenabfertigung beim Essen."
"Highly recommended! It took us a while to find the right boat. We almost booked a smaller boat for basically the same price but look no further, Renaissance is a beautiful well kept boat and much bigger than the average and very spacious inside. We spent a few nights on board Renaissance and I have to say I did not expect that high level of service. From the moment we stepped on board we felt like home. A wonderful family dynamic. Captain Morgan is very professional and we felt safe at all times. He took us to the most beautiful islands and incredible snorkeling spots. Petra's cooking was just extraordinary. The flavors and the presentation were spectacular. The kids were very lovely and polite and they helped us as guides on the islands since we don't speak spanish, it seems like they know all the locals which we found adorable. /Pierre"
