"Prachtige bijzondere plek om te zijn! Wat je op de foto’s ziet zo is het ook echt! Je hebt een prachtige zonsondergang! Je kunt zo naar het strand lopen of rijden. We zijn geen hikers, maar zijn met een roeiboot een meer langs geweest. Dat was voor de brug in Punakaiki dit is echt een aanrader!"

"Lodge met heel veel karakter die historiek uitademt. De lodge is gelegen in een prachtige groene omgeving en heeft een mooie terras met zicht op zee. Eigenares Reda vertelde ons het boeiende verhaal van de lodge en haar vader met zijn ervaring als "frontier man" in het NZ van de jaren 1950. Dit geeft het geheel een erg interessante historische toets - we vonden de verhalen prachtig !!"

"Lovely old rustic home with heaps of charm. Situated just off the highway but very quiet and peaceful in a hillside forest location. Cosy and comfortable on a rainy day. Half hour by car to Pancake Rocks or south to Greymouth. Short drive or walk to beach. Best to bring your own supply of provisions to make the most out of your stay! Loved the location!"

"Did not want to leave! An absolutely stunning place to stay, decorated in a unique and artistic manner with a warm and homely feel. Peaceful, tranquil and a place you could spend happily indoors for some time. Great cooking facilities in the kitchen, and comfortable beds. Location was ideal, in a quiet yet accessible location along the coast, where relaxation is guaranteed. Host was good at message communications, which we appreciated. We will be back!"

"The design was amazing!!!! a lot of time and effort has gone into the interior of the house. So thoughtfully clean, no dust on anything, Host was amazing, ensuring we arrived okay. It felt like home. The gardens were absolutely stunning, so lush and beautiful. Has everything you need. Could’ve stayed a month here. Truly a magical place. Thank you so much reda!"

"This was a quiet, comfy cottage with plenty of room and a good sized kitchen with all the facilities. The beds were comfortable with extra blankets, several towels and an unexpected chocolate-nice touch. There was a lovely lounge area and dining section. The outdoor area was well set up and relaxing. It was located nicely between Greymouth and the Pancake rocks."

"If you are looking for an exceptional place to stay on the Coromandel peninsula, this is it. The Lodge is quite large with everything you could need: kitchenette, couch and TV, comfy bed, large bathroom (tub + huge shower), terrace and the a spectacular view of Whitianga! As you would expect, it was very quiet, and the layout is such that, that you can enjoy total privacy. Carol and Warren were very welcoming and we had a nice chat every morning with Warren as he brought us a lovely breakfast. The road up the lodge is fairly steep but it wasn't an issue at all, so if you have a decent car I wouldn't worry about it. While in our particular case, we didn't have the best weather throughout the stay, we appreciated that the lodge is furnished so as to feel like home, which made for a cozy day in. I could tell that there was a lot of thought put into the furnishing and decorating of the lodge!"

Het bed is heerlijk en de badkamer is compleet en heeft een lekkere douche. Bij aankomst stond er wat fruit voor ons klaar en de koelkast was gevuld. De ontvangst was hartelijk. Het uitzicht op Cook Beach was het eerste wat we in de ochtend van de omgeving zagen. Wat een magische plek!"
