"Zeer aardige ontvangst en bijzonder gezellig ontbijt. Locatie eigenlijk tussen de pinguïn uitkijkpost en het centrum. Voor allebei een flinke klim als je gaat lopen, met de auto fluitje van een cent. Kamer heel ruim met een heel persoonlijke inrichting en met uitzicht op zee en de stad. Alles aanwezig wat je nodig hebt. Behoorlijk stevige bedden."

"Lovely place with full of character. the rooms and the building is full of history, pictures, books and memories from the owner. I had a view of the sea from my room. Breakfasts were served in the sunroom with a brilliant view over town and the sea. Roger and his cohost were lovely and made sure everything was ok"

"If you are looking for an exceptional place to stay on the Coromandel peninsula, this is it. The Lodge is quite large with everything you could need: kitchenette, couch and TV, comfy bed, large bathroom (tub + huge shower), terrace and the a spectacular view of Whitianga! As you would expect, it was very quiet, and the layout is such that, that you can enjoy total privacy. Carol and Warren were very welcoming and we had a nice chat every morning with Warren as he brought us a lovely breakfast. The road up the lodge is fairly steep but it wasn't an issue at all, so if you have a decent car I wouldn't worry about it. While in our particular case, we didn't have the best weather throughout the stay, we appreciated that the lodge is furnished so as to feel like home, which made for a cozy day in. I could tell that there was a lot of thought put into the furnishing and decorating of the lodge!"
