"Trapje naar slaapkamer is een steile ladder, moeilijk naar beneden te gaan. Het plafond in de slaapkamer was erg laag. Wij hadden graag nog een paar borden (serviesgoed) gewild."

"The bungalow is really exceptional: beautiful and well equipped. Being out of season, we were alone on the site and did not see anybody. The management was nice to offer us (via messaging) the possibility to be their guests for the sauna. We really appreciated this experience by night."

"Ballstad is a little off the tourist tracks. Unfortunately, the view from the bungalow is not as fantastic as expected. The lodge is close to industrial buildings."

"Northern lights can be seen from windows of the accommodation when it comes on, perfect that i can see it from my attic window. Cozy place with good shower and heating system."

"Our cabin had a wonderful unblocked view of the area. We could just sit all day long and gaze out the big picture windows. Our cabin was well furnished and came with a kettle and sink. The bathroom was excellent. The bedroom access was unique as we had to go up a step ladder and there was a skylight and wide window view of the area. It’s a 15min drive to Leknes so convenient to get anything. And we saw the Northern Lights from our room!"

"Very pleasant accommodation with a cozy lounge area. Tastefully decorated. A quiet and relaxing stay. We appreciated the kitchen area with the option to make coffee. Self-check-in was very convenient for late arrivals. Ideal location for exploring the Lofoten Islands."

"We had a truly unforgettable stay at Hemmingodden Lodge in Ballstad. Our cabin on the water was simply wonderful – cozy, spacious, and with stunning views right outside the window. In the evening, we enjoyed an exceptional dinner at HEIM, which was one of the culinary highlights of our trip. We also took part in a boat trip organized by the lodge and had the incredible experience of watching sea eagles catch fish just a few meters away – absolutely magical! Ballstad itself is a gem: perfectly located to explore the Lofoten Islands, yet away from the crowds of mass tourism. It has an authentic Norwegian character and offers peace, nature, and breathtaking scenery all around. I highly recommend Hemmingodden Lodge to anyone looking for an authentic and memorable stay in Lofoten. We would love to return!"
