"Ometepe is geweldig, maar op Ometepe overnachten in 1 van deze prachtige huisjes, op 15 minuten wandelen van het stadje, maar in totale rust, maakt het helemaal af! Het is gelegen langs het meer waar je de zonsondergang kunt zien. Op het grote terrein staan een paar huisjes ver van elkaar zodat je veel privacy hebt. De huisjes hebben rondom muggengaas, we hadden binnen totaal geen last. Het Slowaakse echtpaar doet er alles aan om het je naar de zin te maken (beste ontbijt van Nica) en stond zelfs om 4 uur 's ochtends op om zeker te zijn of de tuktuk wel kwam om ons naar de ferry te brengen. Voor vogelaars is het genieten: de tuin zit vol met vogels en op 20 minuten lopen zit een prachtig binnenmeertje waar we uren genoten hebben van tientallen vogelsoorten. (Vanaf hostal Life is good loopt een onverharde weg er naar toe)"

"Daniela en Lubashk (Tony) zijn de meest gastvrije mensen die je in het land gaat ontmoeten. Ze doen er alles aan om het naar je zin te maken en je thuis te laten voelen op hen perceel. Daniela kookt heerlijk en voor het eerst tijdens onze reis hadden we een fatsoenlijke maaltijd."

"Keep in mind if you have wheeled luggage there are two ways into the property, both ways involve sandy tracks not really suitable for this type of luggage. Daniella can arrange a tuk tuk for 100cordoba."

"Everything! Daniela and Toni are the nicest most caring hosts I have ever met. They helped us with everything we needed right away. We wanted to rent scooters and they organized everything at a really good rate. When mine had a flat tire, Toni immediately went to get it fixed. Daniela prepares the most amazing breakfasts we had on all our trip through Nicaragua. She also offers laundry service, which was super convenient. Besides, the property really is a hidden gem. It’s so nice with all the ducks and chickens running around as well as the birds that you can see everywhere cause there is so much nature. It’s right by the water so you can go for a swim and watch the most amazing sunsets. Also, I loved the hammocks in front of the room. Staying at Rancho Tranquillo really is like a home away from home and we already miss Daniela and Toni."

"I loved my stay at Rancho Tranquilo with Daniela and Tony! The room was very spacious and the bed was comfortable. There are mosquito nets on every window and door, so I had no problems with mosquitos in the night. I rented their scooter for 3 days for a fair price and got delicious breakfast every morning (which is not included, but also at a fair price and the best breakfast I had during my travels). If I ever come back to Ometepe, I know where I will stay."

"Minor improvements would be to maybe add a little bedside lamp and replace the toilet seat. The location is far off from the main 'places to be' (not the accommodations fault, just as info for other travellers. I liked the tranquility for a few days but if you're looking to party & socialise, it's better to stay in Balgue/ Santa Cruz)."
