"Prachtige locatie aan de rivier, ver weg van alle drukte en hectiek. Mooie hutten, erg sfeervol ingericht. De eigenaar Manuel is een erg vriendelijke, behulpzame en enthousiaste man. Ook het personeel is bijzonder vriendelijk. We hebben 4 activiteiten ondernomen met de gids Orlando, zeker aan te raden! Erg mooie omgeving om te wandelen en kajakken."

"De cabana met vrij uitzicht op de rivier is fantastisch! Franklin is een fantastische host. Samen met zijn staff zorgden ze overal voor en laten je snel thuis voelen. De 4 tours met Gustavo waren fantastisch! Hij heeft enorm veel kennis en kon zelfs over mieren interessante verhalen vertellen. Wat een boeiende man!"

"We vonden de prijs van het verblijf behoorlijk fors. Voor zo’n prijs verwacht je dat alles klopt en dat deed het op een aantal punten niet. Zo was het zwembad niet echt schoon, het houten dek bij het zwembad en de trappen hadden achterstallig onderhoud en de badkamer van de cabana was wat basic."

"Geweldige locatie, vrolijk en hulpvaardige staf. Iedereen staat klaar om je verblijf onvergetelijk te maken en Gustavo is de beste gids die je je kunt wensen."

"I had a great time at Guacimo lodge! As someone in the airline industry I stay in a great deal of hotels every year many that are top star quality. Guacimo lodge is one of the best best places I have stayed. The place is rustic and beautiful. The staff are attentive and fantastic and beat many of the hotels I stay at. Nothing is too much trouble they really do look after your every need. No matter if it’s a tour you want to go on or onward travel plans they help in every way they can. The menu at the lodge is small but delicious And perfectly cooked. Breakfast in particular was fresh and delicious. I couldn’t recommend the Guacimo lodge more it is a fantastic place to unwind and get back to nature. I look forward to staying again in the future."

"It was a magical place! The staff was so caring, everyone did the most they could to help us create a special memory. Even without speaking spanish you could get around here and even if there are not a lot of tourist in the area and the way to the lodge is a little adventure we always felt absolutely secure! Manuel helped us get to the lodge and to our next place so we didnt have to organise anything. It was worth every dollar!"

"Incredible location away from civilisation. Close to the indomaiz biosphere. All home comforts and excellent staff who went above and beyond. Marjiory in particular made our trip entirely seamless. Ask her to organise Orlando as your guide (we saw more wildlife in 2 hours than over multiple days in other jungle lodges) and get Jose to expertly drive your boat."

"Make sure to ask for tour guide Orlando to do with you all activities at the lodge! He is a local guide with great experience. The property of the host is an absolute unique area in the widlife refuge of Indio Maiz; the lodge is very beautiful and in good shape. We also received a free upgrade to a bigger cabin. The personell is very friendly and helpful."

"Be aware that the lodge comes with its price. Against the background of the unique location, is is however reasonable as all food, water etc. has to make a several hour lasting trip by boat."

"The open bungalows (pretty well sealed against Moskitos) is quite comfortable and especially if you are in one at the edge of the property, you really are sleeping in the jungle. There will be no reception and no WiFi. The location is great, especially if you want to go birdwatching early in the morning. The manager and the staff are super nice and helpful. It’s best to bring sufficient cash, as credit cards might not work that day. The pool is in good shape. With a view on the river."
