"De Laguna de apoyo is een ongelofelijk plaats om te verblijven. Prachtig meer met heerlijk water om te zwemmen. De plaats is heel netjes met vriendelijk personeel. Het ontbijt is lekker en goed verzorgd door een zeer vriendelijke kelner. Wel enkel lekkere pancakes met wat fruit inbegrepen er is ander ontbijt mits bijbetalen beschikbaar."

"Het restaurant functioneerde enkel op zondag, (laagseizoen )je kon wel naar een zuster hotel gaan met restaurant maar daar moet je eerst op hun wifi gaan alvorens aan de menu geraakt. Je moet toch mee met je tijd....lekker onpersoonlijk net een hamburger tent. Vertrok dan maar naar een nabijgelegen restaurant met service."

"Our room was comfortable and had a beautiful view of the lake. We had our own balcony with benches and a hammock, where you could watch the sunrise. They provided yoga mats, kayaks and tubes for the lake, plus lots of space to enjoy the sun. The cocktails were good too. There are other restaurants nearby. They arrange shuttles and activities too."

"I loved my stay at Coco Bay… such a beautiful place sat right on Lake Apoyo. I found the dorm rooms very comfortable and well laid out, the whole property felt well maintained and luxurious. The breakfast and kayak use included was a great touch and it felt more like a resort than the dorm price I paid. I’d recommend waking up to watch the sunrise over the lake, I even spotted the monkeys each day. The staff were all so kind and I’d like to especially mention Horacio who went above and beyond to help when I forgot something there, what a star! Really a credit to the team. The two days I spent here are ones of total relaxation that I look back on fondly, my only regret is that I couldn’t stay longer. Don’t hesitate to book for a slice of magic at Lake Apoyo!✨"

"Great location, a more quiet hostel alternative to others on the Laguna. The staff were very friendly, good facilities including laundry, restaurant and functional shared kitchen. Rooms were spacious, with good balcony areas overlooking the lake. Sunbed area next to lake was very nice and relaxed. Good breakfast on offer. Tours to Volcan Masaya on offer, shuttles to/from Granada with the hostel being in partnership with Oasis hostel."

"Restaurant was on the expensive side but the hostel is a walkaway from a Soda down the road which is cheaper. Our room had vents/tiny windows connected to another private room which meant it wasn’t entirely private. There was very minimal toilet facilities for the amount of people there. The rooms get quite hot even with the fans going."
