De ruime kamers van de Grootberg Lodge zijn gevestigd in stenen lodges aan de rand van het Etendeka-plateau en ter beschikking stellen een weids visueel spektakel. Deze lodge heeft een buitenzwembad en wordt beheerd door een organisatie die gericht is op het verbeteren van de lokale welvaart. De natuurorganisatie ondersteunt lokale projecten, promoot het belang van het safari-toerisme bij de lokale bevolking, en zorgt voor werkgelegenheid. Elke kamer van de Grootberg Lodge heeft een gemeubileerd houten terras met een panoramisch visueel spektakel, een rieten plafond en een Afrikaanse inrichting. De douche in de eigen badkamer kijkt uit op het plateau. Het rustieke eetzaal heeft grote ramen met perspectief op het plateau en is voorzien van houten meubels. Er is een bar op het terrein en er zijn lunchpakketten beschikbaar. U kunt hier onder meer natuurwandelingen maken waarbij u op zoek gaat naar olifanten en neushoorns, de Himba-stam ontmoeten in hun natuurlijke omgeving, en een ritje maken door de vallei van de rivier de Klip, waar de dieren gaan drinken. Verder trekken en paardrijden zijn hier mogelijk.

"The location is amazing. The view over the valley is a highlight of our trip. The way up to the property is a bit challenging, but was worth experiencing yourself. The staff was so friendly, they even gave a surprise singing performance. The food was a menu with local game, that was cooked straight on point. Compliments to the chef! Best game steak we had in Namibia!"

The rhino safari was very long + 10hours, it takes you 2 hours of driving before reaching the start of the game drive, and we didn’t see rhino.. it was also pricey for the experience in my opinion! Also the ride was extremely bumpy (not recommended for old people)"
