"De kamer was gezellig ingericht, bij onze kamer in het blauw met mooie schilderijen. Ook de rest van de B&B was smaakvol ingericht. Het ontbijt was gevarieerd met lekker vers sap en vers fruit, zelfgemaakte confituur, typisch Mexicaans als de gasten ervoor open staan. Vriendelijke, warme gastheer en -vrouw, die met enthousiasme tips geven over hun stad en omstreken."

"Very stylish and inspiring accommodation with lots of paintings and artwork in an old townhouse - a lovely garden with pool and and a shady terrace completes the setting. The house is one block from the central Bus Station and also quite close to the city center. Every day an exquisite breakfast is prepared by Jean Pierre which he serves together with hints and background stories on the Merida area. Also Gina is very friendly and helpful offering links and online information on various topics. It was a great pleasure to stay with you and your lively dogs - we keep good memories and even consider returning to lovely Merida sometimes … Merci & Au Revoir Petra & Gerhard from Vienna"

"From the outset, Jean-Pierre and Gina wanted to make our stay at La Pantera Negra as seamless as possible. They were very welcoming and gave us a lot of valuable information regarding Merida and provided us with many options of where to go and where to eat. The breakfasts were delicious. They were nutritious and varied and were home cooked by Jean-Pierre. Our room was large and furnished in a traditional manner, towels were replaced every day and there was a supply of free water from the large dispenser in the kitchen. For us, we really loved this unique B&B but its quirkiness may not suit everyone."
