"Dank sir & madam Sunimal! We hebben een fijn verblijf gehad op een ruime kamer met keuken en badkamer. Als blauw niet je lievelingskleur was, is het nu wel door de geweldige bloementegeltjes! Het is fijn om even op het binnenplaatsje te zitten na een dagje strand. Dat is, net als de restaurants, op loopafstand en tuktuks zijn altijd bereid je overal heen te brengen. We moesten vanmorgen erg vroeg weg, waardoor we sir en madam niet meer gedag hebben kunnen zeggen (tot onze spijt). Een volgende keer Unawatuna is zéker bij Villa Sunimal! Nogmaals dank, we wensen jullie het beste voor de familie!"

"We had a great time at Villa Sunimal and stayed even longer than originally planned. It’s clean and comfortable. The hosts are very kind and helpful. The location is great as it’s close to the bus stand but also just a short walk to the busy beach area. :)"

"Lovely family and the hotel has three rooms with a shared kitchen so it's very very quiet. Room is modern with a hot shower and a lovely balcony area with tables and chairs and even a lounge bed , there is also a fan. It's located next to the hill forest and I've seen lots of different birds and also palm squirrels everywhere and yesterday by the kitchen I saw 4 quite large monkeys it was amazing. I stayed 4 nights and it is by far the best place I have stayed bearing in mind that all the other places were very nice too, but this stood out for me. And it's close to the beach."

"Huge room and very clean. Family were really friendly. Upstairs kitchen area with seating was great. Only 5 minute walk from busy area with restaurants etc but away from busy main road so lovely and peaceful. Highly recommend."

"We had a great staying, owner is just so caring for anything you need. The ville is so close to any facility and 10 minutes walk from the beach! The room was well cleaned and all staff is very kind. I would highly recommend! For sure I’ll get back for anytime soon in Una!"

"This place is absolutely perfect, it’s down a driveway so you hear none of the road noise, and walking distance to the main strip. The room is a great size, hot shower, A.C, amazing internet & comfortable bed!!! The owners are so sweet. We ended up extending one night because we loved it so much!"

"The family who run Villa Sunimal are so wonderful and attentive. Nothing was too difficult for Dinu. He organised surf lessons for us and gave a lot of advice. Dinu and Sunimal were on hand to drop us off and pick us up from various locations. Spacious and comfortable room in a lovely home stay."

"I had a great stay at Villa Sunimal. I was welcomed by the lovely family (who all speak English quite well) with a cup of tea, and immediately felt comfortable and welcomed. Dinu is very friendly and willing to help with anything you need. The room is clean and spacious, with a well-functioning AC, and there is a shared kitchenette with a fridge. The location is perfect: it's situated on a side street off the main road, so you're close to everything but without the noise from the road. In just a few minutes, you can walk to the tourist shopping street of Unawatuna. I will definitely come back!"

"Great location, close to the main road between Matara and Galle ánd the street that has all the restaurants, cafes and (souvenir) shops and the beach is a short walk away. Easy to catch a bus or Tuktuk to any of the nearby places. Hospitality of the host family was great. Even offered us a rice cake in the morning in go out of their son’s birthday. Unit had great AC and two beds with mosquito nets, which was great!"

"A breakfast option would have been a plus and made our stay even better! The bathroom could use an update, as is the case with many in Sri Lanka."
