"Welgekomen door zeer vriendelijke uitbaters. Daarvoor dank. Heel mooie en rustige ligging boven op een berg met een super uitzicht. Lekker fris zwembad met een mooie sunset. Heerlijk bereide maaltijden. Ik kan alleen maar aanbevelen."

"De familie die Sumeru uitbaat, verwelkomde ons erg hartelijk en we hadden een fantastische tijd bij hen. Ze haalden ons op bij de bushalte en hielpen ons bij het plannen van activiteiten in de omgeving. Ze zorgden er zelfs voor dat een zak die we vergeten waren werd bezorgd in ons hotel in Phnom Penh! Nicolas en zijn familie hebben een idyllisch paradijsje in Putang Village gecreëerd!! Het eten is ook enorm lekker! We kunnen een verblijf in Sumeru dus alleen maar aanraden!"

"We booked Sumeru on short notice due to a change of plan. From the beginninng the communication with Nico was very good. Bus tickets, Pick up Service from the bus ( because it is a bit outside of Sen Monorom). Nico organized it. On arrival we were warmly welcomed. On new years eve Nico and his wife made a barbecue for all guests together with the family- this was lovely. They offer breakfast and a homecooked tasty evening meal with vegetables from their garden. No need to go into town to eat! There is a pool, wonderful views of the surrounding countryside. It really looks like tuscany. There are lots of tours available in the area, but for us it was the perfect place to come down and relax. We can highly recommend Sumeru."

"The view was amazing, it was a really tranquil setting. Beautiful accommodation and the hosts were extremely helpful and friendly."
"There wasn't anything we did not like. Be aware though that 'GRAB' does not operate in the area and Sumeru is quite far out. This was not a problem as we used tuk tuks or the lovely hosts gave us a lift."

"Sumeru is a piece of paradise. The accommodation is amazing. It has a beautiful pool and the French food is incredible! Most of it is home grown. The owners are lovely. We hired a bike from them for the day and they even tracked me down to deliver shoes I had accidentally left behind. Would definitely visit again."

"The situation of this hotel is stunning, with beautiful wide-ranging views out over rolling countryside. It’s found at the end of the lovely traditional Putang village, and we thought it is a far more pleasant place to stay than in town. The couple who run it were very friendly and welcoming and they cooked delicious, simple and small, but tasty meals. The home-made jams at breakfast with home-baked bread were lovely. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the shower powerful and hot. I thoroughly recommend it."

"Its the best place to stay in Phnom Penh it has something to do with the atmosphere, when I stayed in more expensive places no one was able to create the same atmosphere as I experinced in this place. The staff is so sweet to everyone and they even make the best food even for me that is a vegetarian I will never grow tired of this menu with so many options for everyone and the prices are also the most reasonable in the entire area so its not expensive and you get a lot for your money every time.. Also the area is really good if you need food options and its close to everything with grab, and just a short walk to local markets and to the river. I have tried some places to stay but this is the absolute best one in all of Phnom Penh."
