Maasai Simba Camp

"Dit verblijf was echt een hele leuke en speciale ervaring, vooral ook dankzij het personeel.. Heerlijk eten, kampvuur, wandelen met onze Masaai vriend tussen de giraffen, kennismaken met het Madaaidorp. Ook goede uitvalsbasis voor bezoek Amboseli."

"Een beetje betere indicatie voor de ligging.. en ja, je moet effectief over de rivierbedding. Maar er is ook een bruggetje, dacht ik, om over te lopen. Wat een avontuur."

"Het bed in de tent was voor mij (1.85 mtr) te klein. Daarnaast had ik in de vroege ochtend geen warm water terwijl, volgens de omschrijving, dat er wel had moeten zijn."

"Simba camp is an amazing place to stay, especially if you want to experience the local culture and see wildlife. The chef cooked delicious food and even went out of his way to cater to my son's fussy eating. The highlights were definitely the morning and evening walks with Kwenia to see the wildlife and learn about the bush, the school and village visits, and beading with the local women. A very memorable experience."

"We loved this place (it is community owned ) & run by the Maasai people so has a very authentic vibe Such a relaxing friendly helpful place to spend time around pool & fire pit. Food was freshly cooked & delicious we stayed 3nights enjoying the morning & afternoon walks in nature spotting wildlife If you arrive by train arrange for some one to pick you up from Emali . Hut accommodation was small but very comfortable for two & very attractive location & ambience 10/10"

"Although a bit off the beaten track we think it’s a bonus as our highlight was definitely the nature walks with Kwenia, he is so knowledgeable and everytime we went for a walk we saw animals, zebras, antilopes, ostriches and so many giraffes not mentioning lots lots of birds. And unforgettable views of Kilimanjaro, different in the evening and morning. Food is also very good and everybody makes you feel at home. We stayed 3 nights but I wish we could spend more time there, we loved our tent, I can’t believe how crispy clean our sheets were! It’s really easy from Nairobi, we took a 1.5 htrain to Emali and we were picked up from the station (30$ for a pick up) I hope to be back."

"We have slept in a tent, for three people it was a little tiny, but for two it would be ok. The greatest advantage of this place are people, everybody is very nice, we have had a nice naturewalk with one of the masais. The food was very good."
