Hotelcomplex Poseidon ligt in het centrum van Lipari, op minder dan 5 minuten lopen van de pier. Het verblijfplaats wordt beheerd door een familie en is gevestigd in een oude villa op het grootste eiland van de Eolische Eilanden. De verblijven zijn ingericht in Eolische stijl en voorzien van airconditioning. De meeste slaapvertrekken hebben een balkon of patio. Ze beschikken allemaal over een flatscreen-tv, een koelkast en een badkamer met een haardroger. Er is gratis WiFi in de openbare ruimtes van het verblijf. Er wordt iedere ochtend een ontbijtbuffet geserveerd met vooral zoete, maar eveneens een aantal hartige producten. Het dichtstbijzijnde openbare strand ligt op slechts 400 meter afstand. Als gast van het Poseidon krijgt u korting bij het Canneto-strand, dat zich op 3 km afstand bevindt. In de omgeving van het etablissement zijn vele pubs, wijnbars en restaurants te vinden. Het archeologisch park vindt u op slechts 500 meter afstand.

"To start with, the location is not only excellent (right in the middle of historical Viterbo, walking distance to most things), but you also have parking inside (and space for normal-sized cars too), which can be a life saver when travelling by car. Nice (and very clean) room, and for a very reasonable price (have been to city accommodations half as good for twice the price). Also provided disposable indoor slippers, which is instantly a +1. Lastly, can mention that the owner also has a nearby restaurant (c. 2min walk), called La Chimera, which I can strongly recommend. I do not normally give 10/10 unless very deserving, i.e. going above and beyond, but this place deserves it."
