De waterdruk van de wastafel en af en toe de douche

Ik had een eigen kamer met douche en toilet geboekt, maar er kwam geen warm water uit de douche. De vorige twee keer dat ik hier verbleef, was dat ook zo.

"The funky Dodo is in a perfect location for exploring the charming town of Hopkins. It's a wonderful hostel. We had a private room with really great beds and a nice, large room. It's close to the beach and close to great restaurants and bars. You can also cook for yourself. We had a wonderful four-day stay here."

WiFi kan beter maar weet niet of dat aan het hostel ligt of aan de provider.

"Heel vriendelijk personeel dat je helpt met alles. De kamer en badkamer was proper en het bed comfortabel. Via het hostel kan je e-scooters huren en ze kunnen ook transfers voor je regelen. Echt een aan te raden hostel met een gezellige sfeer."

"Het hostel was schoon, onze kamer zat tegen over de douches en wc's. Dit was top geen last van gehad. Daarnaast ligt het hostel een beetje van het centrum af maar de metro verbinding is top. Wij kwamen na middernacht aan maar het was nog mogelijk om in te checken!!"

Onze kamer had geen raam waardoor het na het slapen muf en stonk. Het was moeilijk om de guur uit de kamer te krijgen. De enige oplossing was door de deur naar de gang open te zetten. Veder rest was het hostel uitermate uitstekend!!

De WC brillen waren van een bedenkelijk niveau.

"Eerste keer een hostel. Was alleen op reis was erg eenzaam. Masr in de buitentuin leerde ik snel mensen kennen. Ook de vrouwen zaal was echt fijn. Ik vond het een hele fijne plek. Ben er 3 nachten geweest."

"De mede-eigenaar van het hostel is een heel vriendelijke en attente persoon. Hij geeft je uitleg over wat er te doen is in de buurt hoe je naar het treinstation kan lopen dat maar 10' wandelen is van de locatie en je eventueel de trein naar de airport kan nemen. Maar met een Grab is het ongeveer 20' indien niet te druk verkeer en is heel goedkoop. Eetgelegenheden in de buurt Er wordt heel goede koffie gezet op een professionele manier ook Goed verblijf voor 1 nacht voor of na een internationale vlucht"

"De badkamer was denk in nog niet zo oud, was mooi/modern. De bedden waren ook prima, de vloer was wat gedateerd maar dat vonden wij geen probleem. De locatie was prima vlak bij het oude centrum er was een Lidl vlak bij voor boodschappen en schuin tegenover het hostel is een heerlijke bakkerij voor het ontbijt in de ochten. Personeel was zeer aardig en behulpzaam."

Bepaalde backpackers zijn niet bepaald kind vriendelijk. Het hostel kan hier echter niets aan doen.

"Ik kon ter plekke op-plussen naar een huisje, zo ver mogelijk van de centrale ruimten. Dit heeft me alle rust gegeven, die ik van deze plek verwachtte. Ik heb heerlijke wandelingen gemaakt, echt geweldig!! Het eten was TOP. Er zijn veel mogelijkheden voor excursies, o.a. naar de gorilla's."

In het weekend was er 's avonds een zang-optreden, van 17-21 uur. dat is tamelijk lang en lukt dan ook niet om dat uit te zitten. Wat ik vervelend vond, omdat er erg weinig gasten waren in dat weekend. het zingen en de muziek kon ik zeker waarderen. In de buurt is een steengroeve, met de wind uit die hoek, waren de industriële geluiden op de camping wel te horen.

"MyFarm is not just a place to sleep. It is a vibrant place full of life. You wake up from the sound of beautiful birds in the morning, you can join the MyFarm team for breakfast and talk about their daily life here. All the staff is super nice and accommodating. It's amazing to be inside such a wonderful place that gives out free education to the people who live around here. I ended up helping out in the different educational programs and I loved every moment of it. I thought I just went for a cheap place to stay that was also social, but I got so much more. I will definitely come back as a volunteer to the project."

"Dit is een hostel welke alles in de puntjes heeft uitgewerkt. Zeer sociaal maar geen party hostel. Iets wat ik erg waardeerde. Prijs-kwaliteit dik in orde. Personeel begroet je altijd. Erg vriendelijk!"

Het enige minpunt is dat je weinig privacy hebt in de gedeelde slaapzaal (geen gordijntjes aanwezig).

"It's a cozy hostel with a nice common area, warm shower, enough space everywhere, a small breakfast included, in a nice neighbourhood more relaxed than Old Dhaka, and reasonably close to the metro into the city centre (walkable, or take a rickshaw). It's also close enough to the airport and railway station (by tuktuk or Uber). It has nice restaurants nearby, coffee places and Western fastfood options if you're into that. It is well worth the price of a bed, and probably the only good option in the country if you are a solo traveler/backpacker and you want to meet other travelers. Armin, who manages the Hostel, is a friendly, easy-going guy, and helpful."

The mattresses are a little thin, but to be honest, that was the case in most places in Bangladesh. Don't expect the Hilton when it comes to cleanliness, and you'll be fine.

"It's a basic place, but nice. The bathroom is clean and functional (and great hot water). The bedroom is perfectly fine for a night or two, but would struggle with lots of packing and unpacking if you were staying a while. Owner is super super friendly and nice."

Nice mountainview from the windows. Internet worked perfectly. Shop and museum is very close like villages other services as well."
