Pensions in Sint-Maarten

"We loved the courtyard where we had our breakfast which we put together from supplies from a nearby supermarket and the street fruit vendors. As shown on the wesite, the courtyard is a truly delightful spot, especially in a sunny morning, and important if you wish to eat or chat with your fellow travellers, as our rooms were too small for that. The staff were kind an helpful, and the daily room service and available linen service, ensured a clean room (and clean clothes). The location was close to where our conference was held and in a short walking distance the the lakeside, parliament house etc. Other city sights, the Plaza shopping mall, etc were usually an inexpensive taxi ride away."

The absence of wi-fi and difficulties getting an internet connection the courtyard and my room was a real inconvenience, only solved by purchasing a local sim and forgetting about my usual roaming arrangement for keeping in touch with family back home.

Als je naar de stad wou moest je sowieso de auto nemen. Er is slechts één restaurantje naast het verblijf.

"Locatie was perfect om Reykjavik te bezoeken. Op 200 meter heb je bushalte Klambratun waar je met buslijn 3(BSI busterminal) of 6 direct in het centrum bent. Lijn 55 brengt je naar de luchthaven. De citycard geeft je trouwens toegang tot gratis openbaar vervoer. Indien je dit niet wenst, wandel je ongeveer 15 minuten tot het centrum. De eigenaars van het guesthouse waren zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Ontbijt was eenvoudig maar lekker. Voor ons is die hele poespas 's morgens niet nodig."

Het viel niet echt tegen maar het was een beetje jammer dat je gedurende de dag de koffiemachine niet kan gebruiken. Na een lange wandeling of een uitstap kan een tas koffie deugd doen.

"Large balcony with view to the patio. Breakfast served was great; plus guests could choose from several types of breakfast - everyone should find sth suitable according to ones preferences. Room was clean, bed comfy and shower had hot water."

"Amazing location right on the beach, quiet surroundings yet not too far away from shops, restaurants and the city center. The house was spacious and clean with A.C., a fan and a fully equipped kitchen with fridge. Mr. Dagobert was very kind and welcoming, he also picked us up from the station. Thank you, it was a really nice stay!"

Keep in mind the accomodation is very basic and I think some renovations could be done, for instance our room didn’t have mosquito nets.

"Een super leuke locatie aan de oude haven vlakbij de Archeologische site van Byblos, de oude souk met leuke winkeltjes, barretjes en restaurants en vlakbij het strand vol leuke clubs."

De kamers zijn niet zo groot, maar prima te doen

"Excelente cordialidade da anfitriã, lugar muito bem arrumado e de ótima decoração da 🏠. Quanto excelente confortável. Cama e banheiro ótimo, voltarei em breve"

Gostaria de poder ficar mais dias . Tem muitas atividades de esportes no lago . E poder ficar tempo no ambiente. Quase igual estar em casa.

"It was really good value for money in the area, the breakfast was nice and filling, egg made fresh, avocado, toast, fruit, coffee and tea. The room was really nice we thought it might be cold but the blankets kept us perfect temperature. Only a 4 minute drive from the bus terminal. The man on reception kindly flagged a tuktuk down for us in the morning to the terminal."

Het personeel is erg aardig en zeer behulpzaam. We moesten al vroeg weg naar het vliegveld en toch hebben ze in alle vroegte nog een ontbijt voor ons klaargemaakt. Dat ontbijt is overigens prima, met vers sap / smoothie, ei en fruit."

Er hangt een TV maar zoals zo vaak is de ontvangst slecht. Maar ja, wie heeft op vakantie een TV nodig 😉

"De locatie en de logging van het originele verblijf en het geweldige uitzicht. Het buiten leven in de tropen op een basic niveau is heerlijken Brigitte heeft ons met al onze vragen geholpen. Ik heb nog even de andere kamers en het rainbowappartment bekeken en zijn prima voor reizigers die iets meer luxe willen. Random vieux fort zijn zeer lekkere lokale stranden en eettentjes te vinden en wij kregen waardevolle tips van Brigitte. Zeker aanbevelenswaardig"

"Wonderful to be the only guests staying in the hotel, it felt special to have a chef come in to make our meals, which were very good. We had our dog with us sge was showing in a competition on site, she was welcomed and as we were the only guests she sat in the dining room with us. She was very relaxed and the next day came 1st in her Breed. We will return for another event soon."

Perhaps the bedroom could have been warmer.

"It is a botanical garden with horses.Everything is beautifully maintained.Breakfast was plentiful and you can stroll around the property for hours."

De kamers waren relatief warm. Er was een airco in de kamer, maar helaas geen afstandsbediening beschikbaar.

The lighting in the room was terrible. Having said that, they happily provided me with a reading lamp,

"Lovely owners who are caring and helpful. They kindly provided a few names of local tour guides. Nice shower. Good kitchen. Quiet. Close the town."

Intermittent electricity due to poor infrastructure in Mount Hagen. The room is outside off a veranda so when it rains and the wind blows you might also get wet when going inside to use the toilet. I would have preferred a firmer mattress and slightly larger room.

"Great house with all the equipment you might need, including a microwave and full kitchen tools. The atmosphere was very pleasant, and the host was wonderful—funny, talkative, and always helpful. The location is excellent, close to everything we wanted to see. You can park your car right in front of the house. Clean, quiet, and comfortable. Highly recommended!"

In het plaatsje zelf is niet veel te beleven maar dat kan de locatie niets aan doen.

"Echt een paradijsje! Super schoon, fantastisch uitzicht en prima douche. Via een trappetje ben je zo op het strand en je ziet de zonsondergang vanuit de hangmat op het terras. De gastheer doet alles om je te helpen. We hebben genoten!"
