Castle Hotel

"Het ontbijt was goed. Wat vooral opviel was de absolute vriendelijkheid van het personeel. Echt heel fijn. Het hotel ligt aan een drukke weg, maar wij hadden een (ruime) kamer aan de achterkant. Dus geen last van het verkeer. Het ligt echt vlakbij de winkelstraat en supermarkten. En je bent op 10 minuutjes lopen al in de prachtige omgeving. 15 minuten rijden met de auto en je bent in Avebury, aanrader!"

"In het begin hadden we wat moeite onze kamer te vinden; het hotel is gevestigd in een heel oud gebouw met één wirwar aan gangen en trappen. De bewijzering had beter gekund...."

"The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. Also friendly and approachable. The room was clean and very comfortable. I ate my evening meal there which was very good. Breakfast was also very good with a wide range of options. The establishment generally was well run and hospitable. I would stay there again, no question."

"The only thing I wished was different was that I would've liked a thicker duvet. I wasn't cold as I left the radiator on, but my preference is to not have heating on overnight and to use a thicker duvet instead."

"The hotel was easy to find, immaculately clean and had retained its historical character; the accommodation was quiet with a relaxing atmosphere. Our room overlooked the church and churchyard and had a strong shower and comfortable bed.The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful. We highly recommend this hotel."

"The staff were polite, friendly, attentive and very well organized. The room was clean spacious and quiet (rm 16). Breakfast was great. We booked for evening meal and Sunday lunch too both were excellent. The location was just right as the Avon & Kennet Canal was about a 5 min walk away. There was no onsite parking however we parked about a 5 min walk away in the Wharf Carpark - parking charges for w/e were very reasonable. Our stay at the Castle Hotel was really good value."
