"Mooie ruime kamer met goed sanitair in centrum van Saint-Macaire. Heerlijk uitgebreid ontbijt. Gastvrij ontvangst."

"Dit keer hebben we gekozen voor een B&B bij gastheer Pascal in huis. Een erg vriendelijke gastvrije man met een kamer helemaal boven op zolder. Dus wel een paar trappen moeten nemen. Een mooi oud huis in perfecte staat. Het bed was groot met elektrische ondersteuning. Heerlijk in geslapen! Het ontbijt was beneden in de eetkamer en was niet overvloedig maar genoeg en heerlijk."
"Op de foto op booking.com staat het pand van de buren gefotografeerd. Het is ook iets fotogenieker dan het eigen pand, maar wel handig omdat het afwijkt van de andere huizen en je zo de plek snel kunt vinden. Dus het viel niet tegen, maar was anders dan verwacht."

"Saint-Macaire is a very small, local, beautiful village. As it is so small, there are only a few cafes and restaurants, but well worth the trip for one night. If you go, you must stay here! Firstly, the location was right in the centre of the village, so everything you wanted to see was within a 5 minute walk. Pascale the host gave us a local walking map, recommendations for restaurants, helped us call them for bookings (as we don't speak French) and even gave us a ride to the train station the next day (as we were training from Langon). He also prepared a lovely breakfast with homemade marmalade & honey. Overall it was an amazing stay, and Pascale made it even better :)"

"The whole experience of the B&B was excellent. We were warmly greeted and given bottles of cold water - very much appreciated given the very warm weather. The breakfast was excellent. Although there is no parking with the property, there was no problem parking close to the property."

"We just needed somewhere to stop on the way but found this little gem. Fantastic big room, comfortable bed, quiet. The medieval village is beautiful and well worth exploring. Hosts were lovely. Yes the steps are a challenge, but we left the suitcase in the car and just took day packs up."

"De liefde voor t pand voel je overal Alles prachtig,oud maar zeer comfortabel. Heerlijke bedden,en prima douche. Wij houden van oud maar als je van strak en nieuw houdt kun je dit beter niet boeken."
"De ligging is fantastisch, lekker rustig maar toch vlakbij het centrum. Te voet 30min, met de fiets 10min. Goed bed. Behulpzame gastheer. Alles is voorzien om zelf te koken maar er zijn heel veel leuke restaurants in de buurt.Bakker en Spar ook vlakbij. Strand is ook heel dicht. Heel leuk eiland om te fietsen, goed aangegeven routes. Je kan overal oesters gaan proeven voor weinig geld. Wij hebben genoten."

"Een prima mogelijkheid om comfortabel te verblijven nabij Tours, zonder uit hoeven wijken naar een hotel. Wij waren op doorreis naar Spanje en wilden voor twee dagen onze vouwwagen niet uitklappen, met het oog op mogelijke vochtigheid. Alle comfort was aanwezig op deze accomodatie en verder alles heel schoon en comfortabel. Echt een aanrader"
