"Zeer gastvrij. Van Engels stel. Je hebt gewoon een compleet huis tot je beschikking met zeer complete mooie keuken. Van alle gemakken voorzien. Toilet beneden en badkamer met toilet boven. Mooie tuin. Perfect voor gezin met 1 of 2 kinderen (3 zou waarschijnlijk kunnen met extra luchtbed of zo)."

"Beautifully renovated cottage, incredibly well equipped. Great location, surrounded by peaceful countryside but well located for exploring the area as well as further afield. Fantastic hosts, felt like we’d known them for years, so welcoming and able to provide recommendations for things to see and do. We were sad to leave but will absolutely be back again."

"The gite is in a beautiful setting surrounded by a gorgeous well kept garden. There is plenty of space to relax on the terrace, have a bbq and enjoy the grounds and v friendly chickens. A true oasis to relax. The gite is far more spacious than appears in the photos and can easily accommodate a family of four. It is v well kept and maintained and is spotlessly clean. The owner’s Faye and Jason have done a wonderful job and are very welcoming to all and provided v helpful suggestions on things to do locally. We can’t wait to return!"

"The location and the garden are fantastic. The cottage and garden are dog friendly. The kitchen is well equipped. Inside on the ground floor there is a kitchen area with dinner table and a separate lounge area with television. Internet/wifi is fast enough to watch Netflix or other internet TV programs. Bedrooms are a good size and the bathroom has a nice shower. Best of all are the friendly and helpful hosts Faye and Jason and the opportunity to get fresh eggs for a small amount."

"At this time of year it can get a bit chilly inside. There is a good working wood pellet burner, but it is in the kitchen area and the lounge area takes longer to heat (we switched off the pellet burner when we left at day time and at night). The bathroom can also be a bit chilly, it has an electric heating system but it was difficult to operate. However I should have asked and sure the hosts would have been so kind to explain it or set it up at our early rising times. Last thing that was not that practical was the dishwashing brush, it was just to big to get into cups and glasses, but it looked nice ;-)"

"Great cottage in a very peaceful setting, green countryside around with buildings over 200 years old but well refurbished and modernized. Warm welcome from the hosts who guided us around on arrival and had the pellet fire on and radiators when we arrived to have the place warm. Because we stayed over Christmas, they also offered to provide a small tree with lights which was very festive. Well stocked kitchen with any pots, pans, plates, cups needed all included. TV with local French aerial connection and satellite for British channels, as well as Netflix, Amazon Prime and other connections possible. Nearest town about 5 minutes away for any shopping needs, as well as a lake and some other sights in nearby towns."

"We had a lovely week staying in the Concombre cottage. Everything we needed was provided in this well equipped and spacious cottage. The full size kitchen and the wood pellet stove in the feature fireplace was especially appreciated. The gardens are stunning and much loved by our dog who like us was given a very warm welcome by the lovely English couple who own this beautiful property and who were always on hand to give advice as to things to do in the area. Strongly recommended for a well located getaway."

Even during our short stay we got a feeling of care and home! Don’t forget the “happy chickens” and fresh eggs!!!
