"Een geweldige gastheer die ons proactief benaderde, veel tips had en activiteiten in de regio hielp organiseren. De locatie is prachtig en rustig, precies wat we nodig hadden na de drukte van grote steden. Het eiland is heel knus en liet ons kennismaken met het echte lokale leven. De kamer was klein, maar groot genoeg voor ons tweeën met een mooi terrasje aan het water."

"Fantastische locatie. Onze kamer had een balkon met prachtig uitzicht op de Nijl en woestijn. Overnachten op Elefantine is echt een aanrader als je naar Aswan gaat en dan ook aan deze kant van het eiland. Het guesthouse is in mooie stijl gebouwd. Zeer aardige mensen. Eigenaar spreekt goed Engels."

"Het is een hele fijne accomodatie. Op het mooie Elephantine eiland aan de rustige zijde. De eigenaar Talaat komt je netjes ophalen met de ferry. Ik had geluk dat ik een kamer met uitzicht op de Nijl had. Ik kreeg ontbijt op bed. Een simpel Egyptisch/nubian ontbijt maar genoeg om mijn maag te vullen voor de drukke dag. Ik kan deze accomodatie bij iedereen aanbevelen."
"Het enige advies wat ik de eigenaren al heb gegeven is om misschien een trekker te plaatsen in de badkamer om deze droog te trekken na het douchen, daar er geen douchebak of douchecabine is."

"Het was een zeer nieuw goed en goed gemeubileerd appartement. We werden vriendelijk verwelkomd met een heerlijk lokaal drankje en er werd ons verteld dat we gebruik mochten maken van alle faciliteiten. Onze kamer had een geweldig uitzicht"

"The owner - Talaat- is helpful and knowledgeable. He booked various trips for us and all were great and good value. The location is fantastic. It has beautiful views and is in a peaceful and quiet place. Breakfast was good. It was good value. I really recommend staying on Elephantine island and choosing Queen House."

"Amir Palace Hotel is located in a working-class neighborhood near the station. I’m the side streets there are all kind of small shops and market stalls. The staff of the hotel do not speak English very well, but they are friendly and helpful. They arranged for me to travel to Abydos by taxi and with a translator to visit the famous Temple of king Seti I and the 5,000 year old enclosure of king Khasekhemwy."
