"The lodge is located, as advertised, in a beautiful forest, about 2 hours from Quito. The rooms are nice and the bed was very comfortable. There's a little swimming pool and two jacuzzies. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Around the lodge, there's a walking trail that leads to a very nice waterfall (about 1/2 hour walk)."

"The property is beautiful, feels private because it's designed well in a steep hill. There's a nice inviting lobby area to hang out in, play games or enjoy a fire with a bar. Property has a yoga/lounge hangout area with a view, beautiful pool, spa and massage area."

"The staff repeatedly tried to redirect our plans toward their preferred schedule rather than supporting ours after originally agreeing to what we had selected. Once we arrived, we agreed on a full day of several different tours, then shortly after, while at dinner a young staff member came to try and convince us to do a tour we didn't have an interest in doing, and changed our entire agreed upon tours. For several days before arrival, we asked about reserving a spa service in the early evening for my partner and me and were told, no problem and to handle it once we arrived. When we did, the time we selected they agreed to. The next day, while eating breakfast a staff member came, suggested we would want the massage much earlier than we had scheduled. We politely declined wanting it later. As we left breakfast, they made another attempt to persuade us into an earlier time but we said we scheduled for later as a way to relax later in the day. We chose not to adjust our plans, and ultimately the massage never happened despite multiple requests to arrange in advance, while at property and when we came back the staff member acted like we never made it. The interruptions were also frustrating. During both breakfast and dinner, staff approached our table to push schedule changes for tours, disrupting what should have been relaxed meals. It came across as inconsiderate and took away from the experience. We also lost power for nearly an entire day, which meant no wifi, no running water, including for the toilet and no ability to use the in-room spa we had specifically reserved. While the team appeared to be working on the issue, no meaningful accommodation or compensation was offered. At one point, we were told they were exploring another property for us to move to, or a discount, but nothing materialized. Aside from these issues, the property itself is exceptional and beautiful."
