"De plek en natuur is prachtig, zodra je het terrein op komt wordt je verwelkomt door vele soorten volgens, maar vooral colibrís. De verblijven zijn mooi en prima bed en prima uitgeruste keuken. Verder is Giovanny als host geweldig."

"Ik was er in het regenseizoen dus alles was erg vochtig en er zijn niet echt mogelijkheden om je kleding op te hangen en te drogen. Iets van lucht ventilatie en\of airco zou fijn zijn. De douche is erg laag en met niet erg krachtige waterstraal, na een dag wandelen door de natuur heb je wel zin om even lekker te douchen."

"In het centrum werden we opgehaald door de eigenaar en hij reed ons naar ons verblijf. We mochten een koepel uitzoeken en we kozen degene met het mooiste uitzicht. De koepels waren schoon en goed onderhouden, prachtig in de jungle. De natuur om je heen, in de schemering genieten van de vuurvliegjes en overdag van de vogels."

"De koepel lag op een andere locatie dan aangeduid werd op booking.com. In plaats van minder dan 400m van het centrum lag het ruim 2km van het centrum af. Even snel wat eten in het centrum gaat niet zonder eerste een taxi te moeten appen. Gelukkig kregen we van de eigenaar wel twee whatsapp nummers van de lokale taxi zodat we deze konden oproepen wanneer we maar wilden. In Mindo zelf gaat alles met contant geld en pinnen kan alleen in San Miguel de los Bancos zo'n 36km verderop. 12USD kostte het me om te kunnen pinnen (retour), dat valt nog te overzien als je niks anders kan."

"The distance to the centre of Mindo - it was a long walk. You can ring for a taxi but ideally I would want to be nearer the main town."

"Amenities could use upgrading, eg shower wasn’t hot and we had to move rooms; the fan in the new room didn’t work properly; window screens had holes so mosquitoes could come in"

"Such a unique property! Nestled in the middle of what feels like a forest, the views out of the dome are just gorgeous, all around you, birds, butterflies, fireflies and even capybaras appear. The kitchen was very helpful and the open deck was a perfect spot to sit and observe the hummingbirds that appear to feed. Giovanni, the owner, was the warmest and nicest person who made our stay super comfortable."

"The location is a touch further from town, about a 30min walk each way which was part of the appeal but can be a bit of an inconvenience. Maybe bicycles could be provided? The room can get quite warm in the day even with the fan provided. However, that shouldn’t be a problem if you’re spending time out and about/sitting on the deck."

"The surrounding nature was great. Great view from the bed. Very quiet and relaxing. you can see colibries very close on the terrace, and in the night you can watch fireflies from your bed."

"Unfortunately the electricity was cut in whole Mindo, so we partially didn't have electricity, but that was independent of the accommodation. The path to the accommodation is not so good in some parts, but fortunately the way is not too long to reach the place. A taxi during the day was 3$ one way."

"The property is spectacularly set within a natural jungle in the cloud forest. The host, Giovanny is wonderfully responsive and friendly. The property is immaculately maintained and very comfortable. We had a beautiful 4 day stay in our dome on the hill. The property is very quiet and peaceful. Transportation to and from the center of Mindo and to attractions is very easy and affordable by taxi. Giovanny was very helpful in arranging anything we needed during our stay and he had really great suggestions for our time in Mindo. He offered transportation to and from Quito at a very reasonable rate and we took him up on the offer. He provided a very comfortable and enjoyable ride from Quito to the property and he even made a stop for us at the center of the world. We would definitely come back and stay again."
