"Maria was erg aardig; ik was de enige bezoeker en kreeg daarom voor hetzelfde geld een prive-kamer. Het uitzicht is prachtig vanaf het dakterras."

"Het hostel lag een eindje lopen van het centrum af. In de buurt zaten ook aardig wat straathonden (die hebben me verder wel met rust gelaten, maar het voelt toch minder relaxed)."

"The staff is very friendly and helpful. The lady in charge did all she could to make us feel at home. You get a wonderful view from the terrace right outside your room or from the terrace on the third floor. You get to use the kitchen which is very handy if you are on a budget. You get to exercise a bit walking to the beach and restaurants. Nights are peaceful and quiet so you have a good night's sleep."

"These are just suggestions to make the visitor's stay more comfortable, add a chair or small bedside table. We were four people sharing the bathroom, we definitely needed some shelves to leave our toothbrushes and toothpaste somewhere."

"The hostel was in very good condition, room was clean & the bathroom as well. The staff is really really kind, lovely people! The location is a bit far from the center but you can walk there or take a moto-taxi, but the view on the ocean was great, we even saw some whales from the balcony."

"Staff were super helpful (even with my limited Spanish) and booked me a whale watching tour which was incredible. Breakfast was decent (coffee with toast and egg) and the kitchen was small but functional"

"It is a bit out of town (about a 20 minute walk) but tuktuk’s are super cheap so that wasn’t much of an issue. It was also a bit loud at night and there were quite a few dogs barking at night and in the early hours of the morning"

"The best about the hostel is the staff. Maria and Osvaldo are such a nice couple, very attentive, helpful and friendly. Puerto Lopez is very safe to walk, and so, despite not being quite in the center, Alcazaba was close to it, in a quiet part of town, and easy to reach walking or by moto-taxi (-1$). We felt at home. At first we were staying one night and ended up staying almost a week. There is also a small kitchen we could use, a refrigerator and potable water."

"Lovely hosts, beautiful view from the rooftop with many hammocks available. Nice and tidy rooms. 5-10 minute walk to the beach. Good breakfast available. Wonderful stay!"

"Nous avons passé un super séjour chez Oswaldo et Maria. La chambre était bien, propre avec peu de bruits. La cuisine était très bien. Et surtout… l’accueil des hôtes était excellent. Un grand merci à eux pour leur aide, nous avoir enseigné un peu d’espagnol, leur petit déjeuné copieux… Je ne peux que les recommander !😁"
