"Janine was fantastisch enorm aardig en attent nix is der teveel. en t ontbijt verrukkelijk . T uitzicht zo mooi in 1 woord geweldig."

"Janine is a great owner, she is always taking good care of the visitors. Location is very nice and you can arrange a boat just in front of the hotel to Cayo Arena for a reasonable price. The breakfast was also very nice and the restaurant next to the house was very good."
"The rooms need renovation."
"The owner and her family were great! Janel has such a beautiful family and the whole town were incredibly nice to us. The property has the best spot in town."
"The whole town ran out of power the first fay we got there for some hours, not the place fault, she had a generator too but hopefully in the next years they can improve that."
"This is the best place to stay in Punta Rucia. Staff were amazing, always attentive and accommodating. Location is perfect across the beach, breakfast looking out the ocean. Dinner recommended for sure, fresh caught. Visit Cayo Arena with Janel Tours."
"Punta Rucia is a remote place and transportation is difficult. The hotel offers a service from Puerto Plata airport (recommended), but more options may be beneficial for everyone."
"Probably one of the best accommodations in the Dominican Republic. The room was pretty big, everything was clean, tidy and in order. Working shower (which is hard to find in the country) as well as all the other amenities. Breakfast here is next level. Toasts, crepes, jam and honey harvested by the lovely couple who run the place. They serve it all on a table at the beach so you enjoy the view! Would definitely recommend coming here :)"
"Nothing, everything was perfect!"
"Fantastic place to stay right on the beach. Clean and comfortable and lovely breakfast on the beach. Take the boat trip with Janelle which was also fabulous."

"The host Janine was very welcoming and accomodating, we felt at home right away. She hooked us up with a tour to Cayo Arena which was way cheaper and much less crowded than the tours with the big tourist boats and was generally very helpfull. Breakfast at the beach was also very pleasant and our room was cleaned every day. I would definitely stay there again."
"The sink was leaking a bit, it wasn't too bad though, as the room was regularly cleaned. Also the shower in the room didn't have much water pressure but there's a shower outside, next to the pool with more than enough pressure if you need it."
"Janine was an extremely nice host! The room was spacious and very cute - we loved the canopy beds with the mosquito nets. The bathroom was also very nice. The best thing about the house was it's location, just on the other side of the road from the beach and just next to plenty of restaurants and bars (Punta Rucia style of course, nothing too fancy). The breakfasts at the beach were very good."
"This kind of rooms might not be for everyone. We had many mosquitos and occasionally a small lizard in the ceiling. Also, on Saturday night, there was loud music outside until well past 2am. Internet didn't work on the rooms (temporarily). We had some issues with water pressure also but nothing that bother us too much."
"Staying at Villa Rosa was a wonderful real DR experience. Janine is a warmhearted and wonderful host. We also enjoyed the room, the food and the breakfast. At my husbands birthday the staff put a lot of Beautiful flowers in our room and there was a birthday surprise at breakfast. Thankyou❤️"

"The staff was incredibly friendly and helpfull. The room was great especially for anyone who is looking for an authentic Dominican experience. They propose a local tour boat that I strongly recommend. The village is awesome, arrive early, enjoy the sun set and the local village night life, then wake up with your morning beach breakfast ! Thanks for everything !"

"This was my 5th visit at this hotel, the first being in 2002, when the resort had just opened, and my last one 10 years ago. The rooms are now renovated, as well as the bathrooms, which were updated to the current standards. The entire area has developed quite a bit, there are now shops nearby and places where you can spend time. When I was there last, there was nothing around the hotel. Now it's a small village with inner roads and dozens of small shops and small hotels. The port is now 5 minutes away just east of the resort, so it is easy to leave and arrive for/from excursions. The best restaurant in the resort is still the Gheisha (japanese). The kids loved the stay and can't wait to get back :)"
