Set on a riverbank and surrounded by jungle, Tortuga Lodge offers an outdoor pool, free Wi-Fi and a gastronomische tafel serving fusion cuisine with Caribbean flavours. All rooms have river views. À la carte breakfast included in rate. All rooms have windows, ceiling fans, air conditioner and a private bathroom with a hairdryer and toiletries. The front desk can help arrange kayaking and other tours and visits to local villages and nearby turtle nesting sites when in season. Tortuguero Airport is located just across the river from Tortuga Lodge, and San José is a 30-minute flight away. The nearest town is a 10-minute boat ride away. Set on a riverbank and surrounded by jungle, Tortuga Lodge is accesible by boat or plane only.

"Bij aankomst wordt je opgewacht door een aantal personeelsleden als ontvangst. Goed uitgeruste kamers midden in de jungle. Hele goede excursies, boottour en avondwandeling zijn een must. Eten perfect. Personeel zorgt goed voor zijn gasten."

"Geweldige locatie, de heen en terug reis per boot is spectaculair mooi. Het personeel is uiterst vriendelijk en zorgzaam. De ochtend excursie was een ongelofelijke ervaring. Alle maaltijden zijn een feestje, super verzorgd en prachtig opgemaakte borden en heerlijk eten. Voor ons was de Tortuga Lodge experience ronduit fantastisch !"

"De Lodge ligt prachtig aan het water, buiten het drukke centrum en is alleen per boot bereikbaar. Je kunt er heerlijk rusten, zwemmen of wandelen in de tuin. En het restaurant biedt ook uitstekende maaltijden."

The owner is super nice and helpful, it's walking distance to the beach, options for food around, although keep in mind that at the closest entrance you have to pay to enter even in the evenings. The other entrance you don't have to, but it's a longer walk. Wifi and aircon works good."
