It is a little way from the main part of town and at the bottom of a very steep hill!

Helemaal niks

"Makkelijk te parkeren, veilig, schoon, terras, en aardig personeel."

In eerste instantie vond ik het wat donker. We kwamen zo tegen schemer aan. Weinig lichtinval zo leek het. Vanwege de zonnige dag leek het zo, maar de volgende ochtend was het toch echt heerlijk en juist de schaduw was fijn.

"Very comfortable sleeping room, big kitchen and dining room area. Everything you need regarding cleaning, washing and household. Within 15 minutes of walking you can get directly to the city center and the harbour. The town park is within a 5 minute walk. Marna is a very friendly and humorous person as well. So everything was awesome!"

The staff was very nice and polite. Had a little issue with the aircon and the manager was quick to sort it out. Room was cleaned and towels changed daily."

The glass door in the bathroom rubs against the floor and makes a loud noise. Lots of dried leaves in the pool. The internet is too slow.

"De knusheid en de openhaard binnen en bbq/openhaard buiten. Echt een soort poppen huisje. In de zomer is er een zwembad en een gezamenlijke tuin met het appartement er naast dus eventueel met meerdere personen kan je er naar toe"

Er waren veel muggen en daardoor korte nachten maar daar kan het appartement niks aan doen

"Uitzicht vanuit mijn kamer, de kamer grote en veranda, een van de beste restaurants om te eten in Kigali 12m vanuit mijn bed, dus vooral de locatie!"

Ik was wel de enige gast daar en daarom mijn aankomsttijd 04h30 was een beetje verwarrend en niet professioneel. Te lang wachten om te eten, tipis Africa, pole pole. En een paar kleine dingen die overal in Africa normaal zijn en hoeft echt niet te benoemen allemaal in verband met comfort!

"Great staff on reception - very friendly and helpful, especially since I was the only guest in the hotel during the low season. The room was at an excellent rate and was very comfortable, clean and had everything I needed. The reception staff got me a kettle when I asked and I slept well."

Construction works are going on in the area and at the hotel in winter. Theh hamman, spa and bar and restaurant are all closed in winter too - all understandable and no huge deal and there's plenty in the area open all the time.

"Geweldige gastvrouw, zeer vriendelijk en gastvrij. Het verblijf is schoon, stijlvol en tot in de puntjes verzorgd. Het uitzicht is prachtig en het terras en zwembad zijn mooi en schoon. De ontbijttafel was gezellig en met zorg gedekt. Al met al een heerlijk resort en een plek waar je je direct welkom voelt."

Als kleine suggestie: bij het ontbijt zou iets hartigs, zoals een gekookt eitje, een fijne aanvulling zijn. Daarnaast zou een klein winkeltje met drankjes, ijsjes en kleine snacks het verblijf nóg comfortabeler maken.

Het ontbijt. Het is een schande om dit een ontbijt te noemen en daar 15 euro voor te betalen. 4 sneetjes (niet vers) brood met wat boter en konfituur en een klein brikje fruitsap. Dit kan je geen ontbijt noemen, zeer teleurstellend. Voor de rest is het appartement zeer groot en voldoet het aan alle verwachtingen zeer tevreden over het appartement.

"From the beginning when I booked, contacted in private, for further information, the host has been very nice. The place is located in a small hill with an amazing view and rivers sound. Huge space for a family and not just for a couple as we were. Shortly, highly recommended!!! Well done guys and may God bless you."

A couple of details... No shelf in the shower to put your soap and shampoo. On the floor or balancing on the shower handle.

"The clean minimalist style and ensuite master bedroom with shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. The efficiency and kindness of Keith and Jason."

Oversimplified decor. Access to mobile showerhead restricted, watermarks above skirting board outside shower in the hallway.

"Bij CasaHouse verbleven we in een kamer met een aparte woon-/keukenruimte. We hadden een fijn bed, schone lakens en een goed werkende airco. De kamers hebben een frisse uitstraling, net als het hotel. Het is wat minder goed te vinden, omdat er vanaf de weg geen groot bord staat. Maar zodra je de poort door bent, kom je in een oase van rust. Het personeel is zeer vriendelijk. Ze hebben zelfs onze auto voor ons gewassen nadat we in de woestijn hadden gereden."

Het ontbijt was zeer uitgebreid en ontzettend goed, maar relatief duur (ca. 8 euro per persoon). Het extra kopje koffie moesten we ook nog betalen. Dat extra kopje koffie had er wat ons betreft wel bij mogen zitten voor dat bedrag.

Als ik iets moet bedenken is de douche. De douchewand is klein en laag waardoor alles nat wordt.

Het ontbijt was zeer mager: enkel brood, kaas hesp, fruitsla en yoghurt. Altijd hetzelfde.

"El hotel en general es muy bonito, y la piscina está muy Bien: Mis chamos no querían salir de la piscina, en especial por el pequeño "Parque" acuático que tienen en las instalaciones de la piscina. Las piscinas las mantienen muy Bien limpias, incluso fuimos testigos de la limpieza exhaustiva que realizaron a la piscina de niños. El personal de mantenimiento le damos un buen "pulgar arriba". Se nos daño la cerradura y la cambiaron Al mismo momento en el que lo reportamos, a pesar de que tenían "various casos de emergencia" que necesitaban atender. Muy bien por El líder de mantenimiento."

El desayuno fue un desastre. Cuando llegamos nos asignaron una muchacha para hacerle seguimiento a nuestra "experiencia" en El hotel y nos dijo: "El desayuno es a la Carta, así que no hay que preocuparse". La verdad es que solo habían 3 tipos de desayuno y eran sumamente estrictos (no se podía cambiar pan por arepa por ejemplo). La Carta decía "huevos Al gusto", sin embargo no había huevos hervidos. A la final nos lo prepararon (porque Les explicamos que eran para Los niños) no sin antes mostrar una cara de desacuerdo y "volteada de ojos" no muy agradable. Por otro lado, El hotel estaba casi full (hecho corroborado por Los mismos administradores / trabajadores del hotel), y la disponibilidad de mesas era escasa, en incluso se hacían colas, especialmente, cerca de la hora de cierre del restaurant (10a.m.). Como especialistas en Gerencia e Ingeniería de costos, entendemos claramente que el objetivo de servir "desayunos a la Carta", es tratar de bajar costos (no toman en consideración que bajar costos en la situación de ocupación en la que se encontraban significa incrementar estrés a su personal y al turista), sin embargo eso se puede hacer con El hotel a poca ocupación (quizas igual o menor Al 30-40%) no con el hotel a 80% de ocupación. La mejor manera de manejar la comida con dicha ocupación, es preparar desayunos tipo Buffett. Se lo hicimos saber a la Gerente encargada del restaurant, sin embargo la misma no recibió la sugerencia de buenas maneras.

"I've stayed at this place for over 20 years and it has always been reliable. It is clean, quiet, and safe. This is not luxury of course and the furniture might be from a few generations ago but it is practical and very very clean. There is a small kitchen to allow you to make coffee and other small dishes. For the price it is an excellent choice and the location is superb."

It would be nice if it would be able to heat the room a little bit more. Traditional places in Lima tend to not bother much with heating or air conditioning because the temperature usually stays the same at around the 60s

"Locatie: 3 min. lopen naar historisch centrum,, rustig, gratis parkeren, vriendelijk personeel, bakker vlakbij, zeer goede prijs-kwaliteit. Het was erg rustig toen wij er waren in april. In drukker seizoen kan kamer aan zwembad kant wel lawaaiig zijn."

Beetje verouderd maar geen probleem: alles deed het en was schoon

"La ubicación y el apartamento en general estan excelentes, lo único esque si son 4 personas 2 deben axostarse en sofás camas pequeños, pero para una noche esta bien."

El sofá cama, pero para el precio y la ubicación se compensa.

"Location was fabulous, just down the road from the Presidential Palace although the road is a little unkempt. An easy walk into the town for restaurants and the main market centre. Staff were friendly and helpful. Great outside relaxing bar / restaurant."

Taxis do not like to drive to the Hotel as the road is not great and has some big ruts at the town end, leaving you with the choice of a short walk or paying more. It's about a 400 yard walk and not hard or dangerous.

We konden om 15.00 uur nog niet inchecken omdat de kamer nog niet klaar was. Was na een half uur wel gereed, maar niet fijn na een lange reis.
