"The Silver Eel is a hidden gem. Brilliant, friendly staff with a gorgeous view from the balconies which some of the bedrooms have. It's a small, family run hotel and the decor may be dated, but the food more than makes up for it. Right on the water, it's the perfect spot for a quiet getaway at an affordable price.Comfortable and clean no bells and whistles."

"Heerlijk ruime cottage met veel sfeer en karakter en fantastisch uitzicht over de oceaan en Valentia Island. De keuken is goed uitgerust met voldoende apparaten om maaltijden te bereiden. De open haard is heerlijk en er is voldoende turf om de haard te stoken. Het is groter en comfortabeler dan ik van tevoren had gedacht en we hebben onverwacht prachtig weer gehad. Omdat er na ons geen gasten kwamen, was het mogelijk later te vertrekken. Dank!"
